About our Founder: Mike Lewis
A graduate of the University of Iowa with a degree in economics and communications, Mike began his career in Chicago, IL in transportation logistics at American Backhaulers. There he met his best friend and 50/50 business partner Ryan Phillips. Mike and Ryan then co-founded a third-party logistics firm, Circle 8 Logistics, which successfully operated for nearly 18 years until it was acquired in 2019. Since then Mike has explored other entrepreneurial endeavors, Co- Founding Replic8, LLC for passive investments in business startups and Founding Bird Dog Enterprises, LLC in 2021 to help SMB's maximize scale, as well as active investment.
Lewis is involved with Cal's Angeles pediatric cancer charity, and lives in the western suburbs of Chicago with his wife of 23 years and their 3 kids. Mike has a passion for flying and believes every business owner should "Enjoy the Ride," in life and business.
